The Recruitment and Retention Agenda

We are piloting three linked initiatives in the current year.

1. The Memory Stick

The idea is to send a memory stick, during the recruitment process, to people who either have decided to come to UCLAN or who may be influenced to decide to come here.

2. Newscasts

To help consolidate the philosophy community at UCLAN, with special attention to undergraduates, a periodic Centre 'newscast' is presented, comprising a blog-type web page with audio and video inclusions/links. The audio and video components are also issued as a podcast.

3. Facebook

Those who plan to come to UCLAN were invited to join a group set up by VP in Facebook. This gives an opportunity to extend a welcome and offer - even provide - support. Confidentiality applies.
